Own Fluids — Privacy policy

Updated: 12 October 2026.

Developer and scope

This policy describes Own Fluids. The developer is Oskari Rauta, who can be contacted through the website contact form.

Gameplay and local storage

You do not need an account with the developer to play. The game contains no analytics SDKs, advertising networks or tracking. Gameplay information is not sent to a developer-operated server or used for advertising.

Your device stores progress, unfinished puzzles, move history, coins and earned-coin totals, cosmetic ownership and the in-game coin prices paid, selected styles, temporary cosmetic trials, daily challenge status, reward-claim records and settings. These records let you resume play and prevent repeated reward claims. Cosmetic purchases and trials use game coins; the save does not contain payment-card information.

iCloud saves

When iCloud saving is enabled and your Apple Account is available, the game sends a copy of your save to your private CloudKit database in Apple's iCloud service. The copy contains the gameplay and preference records described above, including the Game Center progress registry and game-scoped player identifiers used to keep achievements associated with the correct player. It can restore and synchronise progress between your devices using the same Apple Account.

You can turn iCloud saving off in Settings and continue playing locally. Turning it off stops this game's synchronisation; it does not delete an existing cloud copy. Clearly compatible saves are selected automatically. If the saves differ in ways that cannot be resolved safely, the game asks which complete save to keep. Before replacing local progress, it retains a local recovery copy. Apple handles iCloud accounts and infrastructure under its own terms and privacy practices. The developer does not operate a server containing copies of your private cloud saves.

Game Center

If Game Center is enabled and you are signed in, the game sends leaderboard scores and achievement progress to Apple's Game Center. These include completed campaign levels, campaign levels completed without undo or extra bottle capacity, and daily challenge completions, together with progress toward achievements. The game uses a game-scoped player identifier to associate the progress registry with your Game Center player. It does not request your Apple Account password or email address.

Game Center rankings and player information may be visible to others according to Apple's Game Center features and your privacy settings. You can disable the game's Game Center integration in Settings. Doing so does not remove previously submitted scores or achievements. Apple manages your Game Center account and visibility: see Game Center & Privacy.

Motion effects

On supported devices, Core Motion tilt and acceleration readings animate liquid surfaces and bubbles. The readings are processed on your device while the effect is active; they are not stored in the save or transmitted. Motion updates pause when the game is inactive or a menu is open, and respect Reduce Motion. Motion effects and haptics are unavailable on unsupported platforms.

Resetting and removing data

Resetting progress starts a new campaign while preserving cosmetic ownership, selected styles, purchase records, completed daily challenge records and one-time milestone and achievement records. It is not a command to delete all game data or reset Game Center. If iCloud saving is enabled, the reset game state can also be synchronised.

Deleting the app removes its local app data from that device. It does not automatically erase iCloud saves, Game Center records or Apple's device backups. Manage iCloud and Game Center data through Apple's account and storage controls where available. Reinstalling with iCloud saving enabled can restore a cloud save. The developer cannot retrieve your private cloud save for a support request.

App Store, website and support

The feedback button opens Apple's App Store. Apple handles reviews under its own terms and privacy practices.

Website use and the contact form are covered by the website's privacy policy. Contact details, messages and attachments you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Avoid sending information unrelated to the problem. You can ask about information you submitted using the same contact form.

This policy is updated when the game's handling of information changes.
