Questions & answers

What is Ten Slots? A minimalist number puzzle. A random number is drawn and you slot it into a rack that must always read from low (top) to high (bottom). Fill every slot to win; if a number can't fit without breaking the order, the game ends.

How do I play? Drag the drawn number onto a slot, or tap a highlighted slot. Valid slots light up; invalid ones dim. Once a number is placed, it locks.

Why did I lose when there were still empty slots? A drawn number has to sit between its neighbours in value. If it belongs between two numbers that already occupy adjacent slots — or below the lowest, or above the highest already placed — there's no legal slot left, and the game ends.

Can the same number come up twice? No. A number is never drawn if it's already on the board.

What are the difficulty tiers? Relax (5 slots), Classic (10), Sharp (15) and Extreme (20) — more slots make the board harder. There's also Custom, where you choose the slot count and the highest number yourself.

How do I start over or give up? Hold the restart button (↻) in the top bar — a ring fills as you hold, so you can bail out of a doomed game in a moment, but never reset one by accident. "New Game" is also in the ••• menu.

How do I turn off sound or haptics? Open the ••• menu and toggle Sound or Haptics. Sound already respects your device's silent switch.

Does it work offline? Yes. Ten Slots is fully offline and needs no internet connection.

Are my statistics backed up or synced? Your best-fill and win stats are stored locally on the device. They aren't uploaded anywhere or synced between devices.

Does Ten Slots collect any data? No. See Your data and the Privacy Policy.

Does it support iPad and landscape? Yes — the board adapts to portrait, landscape, and iPad.
