OwnMemo
OwnMemo — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
OwnMemo is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy. It collects no personal data.
No data collection. OwnMemo has no servers of its own. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that collect information about you. On the App Store, its privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
Your journal entries. All entries, notes, ratings, timestamps, and hierarchy created in OwnMemo are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard SwiftData storage. Your notes are never uploaded to any server operated by the developer and are never shared with anyone.
iCloud and CloudKit. If you choose to enable iCloud on your Apple device, OwnMemo uses Apple's native CloudKit technology to synchronize your data between your personal devices. This synchronization occurs strictly within your private Apple iCloud database container (iCloud.oskari.rauta.dayflow). The developer has no access to your iCloud account, your encryption keys, or your stored entries. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
PDF exports and backups. When you generate an A4 PDF or a JSON backup, the files are written only to the destination you choose (such as Files, AirDrop, or Mail). Nothing is transmitted to the developer or third parties.
No account. OwnMemo requires no account, email address, phone number, or password.
Permissions. OwnMemo does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location.
Purchases. OwnMemo is a paid app. Any purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; the developer never receives your financial details or payment methods.
Children. OwnMemo collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new revision date.
